1964 Valiant - Protective plate for fenderwell headers? Pic inside
I am going to be changing the side exhaust on my 64 valiant. Not much I can do about the fenderwell header clearance. Not sure how apparent it is in picture but have about 3 inches of clearance between lowest part of header and road.
My friend suggested getting a protective plate for the headers. Did a search in exhaust forum but I cant find any info or pictures of protective plates. Anyone here have plates installed on an early A body? Any other solutions for low hanging fenderwell headers? Headers on the car are Hedman Husler.
Any help is appreciated. I brought this car up from WV and have to get it through provincial inspection. Exhaust will never pass. Will be preparing it all summer.
