Twin Turbo 1971 Scamp Project

Loved watching this build come together! There is another guy on a different form who was dropping in a 4G63 into his 67 valiant. It looks like the project has stopped before being finished. I have a real soft spot for old cars with modern engines ever since I saw a nova wagon with a inline 6 GM trailblazer engine kill most the competition at drag week.

Metallurgy, modern electronics, and boost has done much to realign our thinking on 180 cid vs 600 cid car builds. First hand I can say there's little to no substitution to the torque you are going to get from that huge big block as we have to trick those turbos into working earlier and staying later to get the job done. Tim's Dart however was a perfect example of a great little engine, (340 Mopar), and boost that will make you forget about a 440. An inline 6's smoothness is tough to beat. Daily fuel economy with small displacement is a nice benefit to this kind of project.

Thanks for your interest.
