newly aquired 400 sitting in my garage

So a friend brought by the 400 today, free, with a engine stand too.

Externally it looks ok, he has had it on a stand for 12 yrs. Doesn't know if anything is wrong with it.

But I assume he wouldn't have bought it from whomever and let it sit if it was junk.

Haven't messed with it yet, had to go to work.

Didn't look at casting numbers but the pad has this info stamped on it.

4T. 400
10. 262

Not sure what that decodes as
casting number on block 3698630-1 400

engine turns over but the flex plate is bent cause he dropped the engine from about a foot, creased the pan too, but he gave me a replacement, gotta take it off and lube the cylinders and see whats up with the motor. He said it was sitting in a garage for 12 yrs, The engine is from a Coronet Wagon.

not sure if I wanna put it in the 68 Coronet, or the 70 Duster. Stroke it to 500, paint it turquoise and tell everyone its a 383
