Dodge Dart GT Questions 1968-1969
1968's
Dodge Dart GT's were available with either the; 170-6 / 225-6 / 273 V-8 / 318 V-8.
GT Emblems on the front fender 'GT V-8' and right trunk lid 'GT'.
All came through with Bucket Seats, and Interior 'upgrades', with a 'GT' flying-emblem on the front door panel.
The 1968 '273' was rated at 190 HP, compared to the 180 HP for the 1967 '273'.
1968 '273' - Hydraulic Camshaft, and 9.0-1 Compression Ratio.
Open-Chamber {60.6 CC} Cylinder Heads, and different Piston-assembly,
as the 'new' Flat-Top Pistons {Notched} were now above the deck {+.022"}
Overall, a much smoother running '273' than the 1967 and earlier engines.
