67 68 69 Barracuda convertible rear panels
these rear panels are in great shape. (very hard to find in this shape especially in red)
These are just the panels not chalky hardware is a little crusty but panels are really nice. Complete no chips or breaks. The white in pics is old masking tape. Located in southern Oregon can ship in the lower 48.

What are your thoughts on painting these? I really need some black ones. Thanks.

I've got a super nice pair of same panels for 67 B'cuda in black that I would trade for metallic red not bright red, maroon, or burgundy, in same condition.
I wont spend a dime more than the shipping costs to trade since I do have the red dye.
 
I painted mine- came out great. Cleaned real well and then used Bulldog adhesion promoter prior to painting.
 
Its been said that there is a slight difference between Dart and cuda. I don't know if anyone has ever compared them side by side.
It's also been said that the reproductions are Dart correct and don't fit exactly right in the cuda. I don't know either, I'm just repeating what has been posted here before.
 
I would have to dig mine out to verify but it is either the dart or barracuda that the panel

So anyway... Could you clarify which of 3 or 4 possible reds the parts are ?
I'm assuming elbow pads, ash trays, foot well lamps, are not included.
 
I've had good luck with SEM paints. I used SEM Adhesion promoter and SEM Landau black to redo my Challenger interior panels. The key is to clean the panels very very very good before spraying any paint. Also, light coats are the key. Spraying the paint heavy will make the panels look like they are painted. If you spray light coats, you won't be able to tell it's paint...it will just look like fresh plastic.

Where are repro rear Dart panels sold?

Laysons sells them, and yes SEM works great on these we did my buddies with it
 
I'm still willing to work out a trade black for red if anyone wants to. I would trade my elbow pads and ashtrays for shipping charges too.
