69 barracuda tail panel trim

They were made thin in 1969 so if your referring to stamped aluminum trim in general then everything made that way should be considered thin and fragile.....that's why they made replacements then and now.

For the record the factory panel was stamped out of .040"
The aftermarket panel is .032". Only an .008" difference.

They are thin but if you don't handle them like a no-brained, ham-fist ape then there is no issue.
