Question for 170/6 Tuning

The head cut will help increase the compression, but you need to remove your head and measure the piston to deck height to calculate your dynamic compression ratio with a cut cylinder head. To do it right you need to measure the cc's on your stock head. Something to consider, if the head has had a few valve jobs, then the seats will be sunk into the head giving you a larger chamber volume. New, larger valves, will put the valves higher in the chamber, and a smaller chamber volume. It's a vicious circle! Good luck with your 170, there aren't many of these being run now a days!
