While the rug rats in the back fight, scream, throw stuff around the van while making demands of McDonalds and for "Jimmy" to stop poking me, "Sarha won't stop looking at me " etc....

Being a biker on the roads at Hwy. speeds, this seance has almost killed me more times than anything else. Next in line for that honor is Jap bikes doing tricks and high speed driving in and out of traffic.

Never once has a street race ever interrupted my day on a bike. Riding 20+ years now thanks!

Our highways down here in Tobacco Road ARE dirt. Makes for one hell of a ride as we jump the creeks at 150 MPH in our Chargers playing Dixie on our horns.
And the HOV lanes are packed with people double dating their cousins.
They spit snuff out the window and it gets all over your windshield.
It's so bad we can't even see the wheels coming off the cars because we can't afford lug five nuts.

We all screw around with our cars from time to time, but anyone who has some sense doesn't do what this moron did.

Of course, all you badass street racers don't go to the race track because it proves that your junk isn't as fast as you think it is, and time slips don't lie.
 
I gotta add this for driving on interstates. I was coming home a few years ago from Colorado. I was south of Chicago on 294. I was going 60 in a 55 in the outer lanes, the slower lanes, you know, slow traffic keep right. People were passing me left and right. Hey, I was in the outside lanes man. When I saw this dude on a ten speed pass me and flip me off for going to slow, ( j/k, we know ten speeds can't go that fast!), I felt it was in my best interests and SAFER to at least keep up with the majority of traffic, screw the ticket. Which meant going between 70 an 80 in a 55MPH zone. And that one reason is why unlimited speed limits won't work here in the states, slower drivers feel it's their RIGHT to go slow and be a HAZARD in the fast lanes.

Definitely. It's pretty much the same here in Michigan. Keeping up with traffic is usually the best way to go. They regularly move at 85 in a 55 through Detroit.
 
Wow, so if I don't agree with street racing and reckless driving on the freeway I side with politicians who want to tear down drag strips?? And if I dont agree with street racing and reckless driving then I'm an out of touch old coot who should turn in the keys to my Mopars because I don't deserve them??

So many ASSumptions here, and blatant disregard for people's opinions, not to mention the foul language!! Gotta admit, it's a good read, for more reasons than one!!

I especially like the attack on 6pak "C"......tells me who we're dealing with here!! Kudos to her for not just deleting this whole thread!! Instead of lambasting her you should send her a message thanking her for allowing this thread to continue!! That's the American way, being allowed the freedom to express yourself, even if you're being an asshole!! Oops, sorry for the bad language, just trying to fit in here!! Geof
 
:happy1: Great thread! I was leaving a cruise the other night and it was the last one for the year. The sun had set as days are short now when I see this kid pull up next to me at the last light out of town on the four lane. I see it is a white Pontiac G-something and the kid is giving me and the Duster the eyeball. Now when I was younger I would have checked all the mirrors for a light bar on any car around but I had no idea anything was going to happen. Well the green flashes and the kid nails it and I was pissed and dropped the hammer on the old tired Duster. Don't get me wrong I got a 360 truck eng with cam from Jegs and 600 Holley and headers but more than a match for this car. I topped out in second gear and did not look at tack I went by the Poncho and God it felt so good because for this guy that turns 66 in DEC. I backed down to 60 MPH and never saw him again. :hello2:

Funny how no matter what side of the fence you are on OPINION wise, at least on this site, you are going to find some folks that feel the need to blow there chest out and tell you how much of an *** you are. And then attempt to argue with you over your OPINION......Where I come from this is called a control issue.....The desire to prove you are right and convince all involved that you are right....

The original title to this thread was cause enough to look into it, then your use of language and insults warranted some sort of action, and this comment you just got done typing warranted further more aggressive action....you have had plenty of chances to cool down on this site and still you revert back to the same troublesome non member here. by non member I mean Good bye :)

Then after merging at 120 I decided to let off so they could catch me at cruising 80mph which is about 3800 rpm...I dumped it and passed all of them and watched as they braked hard around me still trying to stay behind to avoid an accident, except one who I didn't see had got around in the slow lane to try to get off the freeway before I wrecked and killed him while I was slowing for cars ahead....so I changed lanes with full throttle , endangering and scaring the **** out of everyone near me with 6500 rpm in 4th through a set of jegs $10 turbos, just flying by that abomination with the speedo buried not giving two sheets about anything or anyone's safety....after 13 miles of harassing them at speeds and rpms most drivers would get thrown in jail for I pulled to the slow lane and looked out my pass side window at the ocean and just shook my head, next thing I know a BMW rolls up next to me and the guy driving looks over with a big grimace on his face and gives me the finger and mouths fk you wreck less drivers , then gives the middle finger again out his sun roof...lol

This is why I run a mopar.
I can sit on the internet and make up stories about spinning 6500rpms for 13 miles without kicking a couple rods and driving over my own crankshaft.

just pure American horsepower.
some of you guys were just squirts , when real street racing took place. young bucks and some of us old bulls still get the shakey foot when the competition
is around. nothing like the rush felt after victory.lol
so if you don't like it, oh well .you ain't the law.

I'm all in favor of a little bit of screwing around on the streets if there's willing competition, and it's the right time and place. I'm not a fan of ricers either, but when we were younger, the older crowd wasn't a fan of what we did.

dude you have no idea, dirt roads are smoother than CA streets and freeways. i was born and raised there but moved to AZ where we probably have the nicest roads in the States...
 
..it's hard to believe anybody really thinks street racing on a busy freeway
is a good idea.
