I don't know how it relates to the 1/4 mile, but I ran 8.91 in the 1/8th with a .030 318, had the typical rebuilder pistons, stock 74 318 heads, no port or bowl work, old wolverine hyd cam, was about 455 lift I think, and a iron TQ intake and carb. This was in a 70 duster, 904 with a old slant six converter, and a 3.23 rear gear. That motor ran hard for what it was! I wouldn't use the 360 heads either, but the magnum motor would be the way to go
