Racers with Drag radials--Help

What I did: My car had the comp T/A drag radials (street legal) on it which I ran 18 psi. My car was an automatic. I just drove into the water, turn the tires in 1st and immediately hit 2nd gear and turn the tires for about two seconds at about 4000 rpm's (in 2nd gear) and let off of the brake with the tires spinning. The car came out spinning and the tires would let out a loud chirp and lock. Car hooked all the time. My car was a very mild 360 and I cut 1.8's 60 ft times. Just what worked for me.
