Yes, I have seen the plastic range from almost transparent to very milky-white.
TTBOMKAR, 2084 258 (thru '63) and 2525 254 ('64+) are only the filter itself, and 2084 467 (LONG year range!) is the filter packaged with two short pieces of fuel hose and four spring clamps. Filter inkstamped with one or another variant of
"FUEL FILTER 2525 254
FOR REPLACEMENT USE PART Nº. 2084 467".
