Hey guys I need some help

I have been in this business a long time. UTI is highly regarded, but I have seen many kids come and go with degrees from there. They really don't know any more than any other school kids I have seen. The best tech I know was going to school for computer science and took a job as an oil changer for the shop his brother worked at. Oil changes and rotations and nothing else for two years. He liked it so they started letting him work on smaller stuff and he read all he could, went to classes that the parts places offered, and then dropped out of school. He is one of the smartest, fastest techs I have ever seen. He is expert at diagnostics, blazing fast and rarely if ever has a comeback. He books 100+ hours every week and makes six figures. The point being that aptitude and work ethic and plain old smarts go further than anything else you will find. Hell, Mark is a fitness guy as well, and he tailors his workouts to strengthen his body for work.
