In what country? Where is the law that backs that up. Big O Tires examined the tires, found them to be in very good condition. These are NOS, very low mileage, had been in storage.

What is more dangerous, Them balancing my tires or allowing me to drive around on tires that are seriously out of balance.
If is lawsuits they are worried about, How about if after they refused me service I get on the freeway to go home and a single car accidents happens as a result of driving on seriously out of balance tires.

For them balancing your tires, if they balance them/fix them they are now responsible and would be willfully going against industry standards. American rubber manufacture association has set standards on how to repair mount balance rotate service life ect..of tires. Any handling of tires not done in accordance with industry standard is an automatic loss in court. It is unfortunate but the world we live in today.....The proper thing for them to do is recommend 4 new tires if you refuse its your fault. people look at large stores as a cash cow big business easy target 1 mistake and people will lawyer up and expect to settle for tens of thousands of dollars. Little shops don't worry if the are sued they just close up thy simply cannot afford multimillion dollar lawsuits. Large stores have to worry about things like this because they have been sued many times in the past.
