Cam before heads

I'm planning out my performance upgrades for the winter and am looking for some advise. I have a stock 318 .030 over w/ flattop pistons.

I'll be working on a set of 273 heads ( mild porting, milled .030, bigger valves) but due to the cost I may not have them ready by springtime.

I have a Eddy Performer I'm putting on and I'm thinking that if I at least swap the cam at the same time, even with the 2843675 heads with the small valves and open chambers on the engine right now I'll get some performance gains.

I'm planning on using the Summit SUM-K6901 cam - Lift 0.441 int./0.441 exh. duration 218 int./228 exh. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-k6901/overview/make/dodge

The question is will I be OK with this cam and the stock heads/valves/valve springs until I get the new heads completed?

Thanks FABO.
