I will be upgrading to coil over shocks this winter. I know the shock towers need additional support/ bracing. I do not have the engine bay roll bars so that is not an option to tie into. I found the attached picture on the web and was wondering if theses braces are enough support for a street driven car. Any other suggestions/ recommendations would be appreciated.

I fabricate an upper shock mount and support hoop for my K-frame rack and coilover conversion....100% bolt on.

e-mail me and I will send you info

I like the engine roll bars option. Seems like it would spread the forces nicely, its what Im planning to do.

x2 I have h the supports he makes, I'm not a welder, so the more bolt in the better. The supports he makes are more than enough to with stand street driving.

Buschi,
Denny produces the finest quality pieces around, in his shop. PLEASE forgive me but the term "home made" is such a sore subject to me. I don't want to get into a rant here and I know you meant no disrespect.
I can't tell you what it would mean to me to have a large commercial building to work out of, but I have made everything out of my 2 car garage at home. Some actually say I have gotten a few things right.
Andrew

Actually, they are made at a race car fab shop that has seen the likes of many a champion...USAC...NASCAR...1/4 midget.....All Stars...ect

hahahaha, sorry. Didn't know that. Didn't read the line below your name ( Iphone using) Thought you are a user like me.... anyway, it looks awesome!

Ha!.....I don't think he noticed your point of origin.

I believe that is his fee for shipping in the 48 contigious states.

thanks for the vote of confidence Andrew

so this will work great with stock k_member and stock LCA, right?

then I need an advice on a good shock. And how good or bad the handling change is when I'm deleting the torsion bar.... :)

You see I'm very interested for next year fall... :)

Here's some more pictures of HDK shock tower braces.

Do you have a recommendation for a coilover on this set up? I want to go this route too and get rid of the torsion bars. I need the room.

Also if there was a one stop shop for everything needed to do this job with your supports where would that be?

Nice work BTW!
