1967 383 Formula-s

while installing the new engine/lighting harness I found a heat shield I had never seen before. It appears it is to protect the brake proportioning valve from exhaust heat. It must be a 383 thing but even with that I have had a few in the past that didn't have this..? Factory or home made? I cleaned it up, painted and re-installed it.
