Hmmm....don't think so.....Had a Ford Ranger, 4x4, that I swapped a 302 into. Truck had no fenderwells in it, never had a wire issue and it used to go swamping thru the Pine Barrens on a very regular basis. If you do things correctly the harness will be just fine. I soldered/shrink tubed every connection I made. Also did use wire loom as it was good at holding the mud. But hey, what do I know.....As long as you add snout bars you will be fine. Pick up Mopars Chassis Manual, they describe how to cage one of these things....I seriously doubt some sheet metal will provide
