Fuel lines

Anybody got any tips for bending fuel/tranny lines?. I'm using a quality bender from Snap-on,the lines are the green coated stuff auto parts stores are selling. It kinks if I try to go 90 degrees and above.Wanted to make my own tranny cooler lines to get away from the headers.Also new fuel lines.Is it the material that these lines are made of ?
