Throttle Bracket & Trans kickdown cable

Converted from a 2 barrel to a 4 barrel setup with an Edelbrock performer 1406 series carb and intake manifold. What I have read is to get the throttle bracket(Mancinni Racing) and Trans Kick Down Cable Kit(Lokar). Is this the way to go???

I bought everything I needed from Summit. I got the Lokar throttle cable, kickdown cable and all the necessary brackets and return springs (2). I also got it in black instead of the stainless steel that everyone else uses. Took about two hours to install everything. Works like a dream.

Hi Brian, are these the parts required?:

1) Lokar Hi-Tech kickdown kit(KD-2904HT60)
2) Lokar Throttle Cable Bracket(SRK-4000)
3) Edelbrock 1481 - Carb Linkage Adapter(EDL-1481)

The lokar kick down cable comes with all the necessary brackets for mounting it. Very simple installation and works great.

Any other parts required then the 3 listed? The kit attaches to the transmission as the original cables?

I bought

Lokar Duo-Pak throttle cable $69.97

Lokar Kick down cable $77.97

Yes, it contained everything to bolt up to my transmission and Edelbrock 600 carb.

You should start with approx. 1/16" (.060) gar here
then check your up shifts.....if I recall increasing the gap will cause the
up shifts to happen at higher speeds.

You also could just get a 4 barrel throttle bracket and modify your 2bbl mechanical linkage to work. Works fine.
