I'm new, BOY, it feels good to type that!
I am a Chrysler Freak, but my heart belongs to a 1964 Valiant Station Wagon named Bonnie! I found her on eBay, bought her from a Farmer who drove her for a long time, then sold her with 107,000 miles on her. I am getting her running after she has sat for eight years. Not impossible, she has a slant six, replace the brakes and fuel tank and clean out the carburetor and she'll go! THEN the fun starts, I have everything I need but a few essentials. A Holley one barrel (I'd like to find two for my Offenhauser 2 X 1, Manifold!) and I'd like to find an original, re-build able, 273 L Series Motor, not the LA motor, the original L Motor, the original 1964-66 vintage. Other than that I got it all, I've spent eight years collecting the bits n' pieces! Now I am ready to build/restore/customize! Anyone have Holley One lungers for sale?? :burnout:
Get dual carbs and install on Offy Manifold. Fix the brakes (Convert to discs on the front!) replace the fuel tank and radiator and drive the car while I fix my work truck (Chevy S10!) When the dime is done, tear the motor out for a full blue print rebuild. Over size valves, turbo charger Camshaft, full blue print and detail the reciprocating assembly. de-burr and smooth the block and head, port match the head/intake/exhaust manifold and clean-up all the ports. T3/T4 Turbocharger ad my 3 X Webber manifold converted to port injection with a Megasquirt3 engine management system. 4L60E transmission with a stand alone ECM to program it. 8 3/4 Rear end with disc conversion and 3.55 gears. Subframe the unibody and body drop the Wagon over the frame, mini tubs, 4 link, Watts Linkage, coil overs and dial it all in so everything plays well together. Then do a WW2 Bomber interior with all the 'make it silent' goodies and my primo stereo put to work for those long trips to Idaho, Washington, Oregon and colorado to visit the rest of the family after I retire in 2019.
