Well the good news is he has it listed as sold...So that a step in the right direction... Hope it gets there before the New Year... I hate waiting for parts to come no matter where there coming from...It always seems longer than it is...But almost 3 weeks is crazy...Bill

17 days ? I ship slow. I am disabled too and live 15 miles from anywhere. Somebody ever throws me under the bus for 17 days and I'll never sell anything again.
Thats ok if you say it up front. If I send my moneyyou better at least drop a hello aint forgot ya in 17 days.

Yes, I agree. I think the point has been hammered in sufficiently now. Sorry., I missed it somehow.

big block or small block cam ..if big block pm me please small block I got a big 1 lol

Really hope that this gets resolved. I have used this site several times when I get a little spending money. I am fearful the selling/buying feature on here will disappear. That would really hard the people that are doing right. Some parts are hard enough to come by, taking a resource like fabo out would make it far worse.

Me either as I been buying and selling here for quite a while. It is kinda nice to deal without the fees of Ebay, etc. This would make the second bad deal on here. I really try to not throw people under the bus as I don't like to..I just don't want to see anyone get taken.

I'm in NC as well...howdy.

That's the way I see it but maybe I am to strict because of the way I do business. A buyer doesn't have to trust me with their $$ but when they do, I take care of them.

Here's how I see this.

1...maybe this is trouble and maybe not

2...We've just "got over" Thanksgiving, when many people were traveling, and are "just getting" out of a major weather snafu where lots of people were stranded. Others had related issues, and may be bailing out friends or family, or going to/ from

3....This IS the holiday season, people out, shopping, our time is occupied

4....MANY of us on here have health issues or at the age where a trip to the EM could happen any minute.

you looking soild or hyd. I have a soild but its a big mp cam

Hey Duster Crazy
I have a Hughes mild hydraulic that I pulled out about 8 years ago. I greased it, wrapped it and stored it and have no use for it. You can have it if you pay postage. It's on Hughes obsolete list but the specs are a decent street performance cam. You would need new lifters. Just Say the word.

Earthmover and blewbyoutobad are a few of the members that are simply great. Even though some people do wrong here, there are some great members here. There are kind folks here, no doubt.

DWire67 is another good one, he hooked me up with gauges I needed for my daily driver!!

VERY GOOD point...Nobody knows what he is dealing with in his personal life...I dont sell parts if someone has a use for anything I have that I am not using its there's..If I had a performance cam it would be yours all I have is a stock 360 cam and lifters new if you want it, its yours...Ill even pay the shipping...But dont just take it to put in your stock...Its called pay it forward I do it all the time...Its the love I have for people and cars...Bill:cheers:

I have a small hydraulic, but it is spoken for. I need to scrape up the dough to ship it. I might have another one. I will have to look. If I do, you can have it.

heres how I see it ;)

1...it would be some very strange trouble that would allow the seller to be online and on the forum but prevent him from sending updates and keeping some open lines of communication with the buyer

2...we did just get over thanksgiving and Christmass will soon be upon us but this should come as no surprise. neither one of these date sneak up on us and personally I don't think they should prevent us from sending what we promised we would. I know that in my case I actually spend more time at the post office this time of year then any other and it is actually easier to ship stuff out since in heading that way anyway.
if for whatever reason I would decide to shack myself up for the holidays and stay away from the post office I think common sense would dictate I don't make any sales during that time either.

3...this kinda follows the thought I had at point 3, if I know I wont be in a position to ship anything I simply wouldn't sell anything or make it abundantly clear that the part would not ship until January first and I probably would not ask for payment until then either

4...like I said in point 1, the OP mentioned the seller has been online at least twice since. I am a very reasonable person and I am sure that goes for most of the people on here. accidents happen, life happens and most days we don't get round to doing all we set out to do
the cars we love are 40 years old and that alone makes our average age pretty high. as rustyradrod mentioned we don't all have the luxury of being able to run out and drop parts off for shipment as quickly as we would like

as long as we manage to keep communications going none of this would be a big deal

it is great to see how many people are willing to step in the gap here and help the OP out
that is what makes this forum so great

X2! I couldn't agree more.

If not you're too to advertise an item for sale and actually communicate with a buyer enough to COLLECT the money, you're not too busy to send the damn item or at least keep them posted. That's bullshit if you ask me.

I'm sending the cam to DusterKrazy on Monday. I say why wait go ahead and rat the guy out. If he's been on line he knows what people are saying. I have been delayed shipping parts before and the one thing I made sure of was communication about what was going on. People don't get upset when you treat them right. This to me is a rip off, plain and simple.

you should wait just a little while, maybe the seller will come through after all and then you can donate the cam to me

seriously though, that's worth some brownie points

Names, Dates and receipts or it didn't happen.

These threads and answers are trolling dumbshit fodder.

Don't take offense but...yes it happened. I have all the evidence that it did including names. I started this thread not to gain sympathy or get somebody's parts but to warn people about getting ripped off.

If a person can go on here everyday, he can take ten seconds of his life to type me a pm and tell me something is wrong. I would understand. I have been dealing on here and Moparts for years. I will dig up all the evidence you wanna see...
