Hemi sold for a song

Seems in my area there are a few owners with a single Hemi. And then there are a couple guys with many hemis.
If you wanted to buy a Hemi you would need to find a single, the guys with many hemis wouldnt sell for a fair price if at all. Id say that's why they have many.
I knew about the Hemi I bought for nearly a decade before the owners interest changed and offered it to me.
He knew what i wanted to do with it and that it was the correct year for my car. He also knew I would appreciate owning his engine more than the guys that had many.
I would go over and see him at least once a year usually about something unrelated but would always bring up the engine when I saw him to see if he still had it or done anything new with it.
He had a plan for the engine and never had any thoughts of selling. Then one day I got the call.
I have looked for a Hemi i could afford for almost 30 years and they were always busted or welded blocks I couldn't feel good about.
I say keep after it, they are out there. Happy hunting.
