It has 3 freeze plugs and yes, the hose/hose clamps are very close together. The car was built at the Los Angeles plant, original owner lived in Huntington Beach, CA... second owner (family friend of 1st) lived in Orange, CA and we are the 3rd owner living in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The owner's manual has the original plate # written in it... the plates that are still on the car.
