You are right I got over 100.00 dollars replacing all the components on these 9" brakes. I didnt know any better at first. Once i got the car running I wanted to drive it. When I started digging into the brakes its one thing after another. Now that I got most of it completed my plan is to drive it like it is for awhile and look for 73+ disk brakes to convert up front and do 10" brakes in the back. Or find a 8.75" a body rear end with the ten inch brakes already on there. But from what I understand they are getting harder to find. Lessoned learned is don't bother with 9" brakes if your going to replace most of the components anyway. Find some 10" backing plates and upgrade from the begining.
