Spent a solid 6hrs finishing up the butt weld.. I think this was more work than replacing the entire wheel well tub! I'm very happy with how it turned out and i'm glad I retained the original watertight seam weld on the inner/outer. I decided to use short strand firbeglass to cover my welds instead of all metal. (All metal is a PITA to sand) both work the same in the end.
Before putting the skim coat of fibre glass over my welds I turned all the lights off in the shop and shined a flashlight on the backside all along my welds and made sure I had no pinholes. Tomorrow I'll finish up the patch on the inner, putty and prime the bodywork area and move on to the trunk extension.
