I know this is electrical, but mainly concerns early-A's (or to ~1968 ), so no need bothering the later "square car" guys. If you don't want to hack your factory harness, make an adapter as below for your headlamp switch. Jumper the front "parking lights" - yell/blk wire originally to Parking (P) terminal to the Running (R) terminal - originally blk wire to rear lamps. The factory terminal that fits the headlamp connector is a "57 terminal" or "Packard 57", used on GM & Mopar thru 1970's (80's in motorhomes, plus home appliances). You want a female with locking finger, not the type you squeeze longitudinally (bulkhead connectors). I bought the terminal removal tool (~$7) from an auto electric supplier when I bought terminals. A flat screwdriver would work, especially if you bend the tip down.
Many hack mechanics would use a quick "squeeze & guillotine" wire connector to connect the blk & yell wires. That might work for a few years until corrosion attacks. P.O.'s hacked my dash harnesses enough already.
In retrospect, it would have been better had I ran the 2 wires straight to the headlamp terminal (not too old to still dumF things). The harness shown is from my 64 Valiant, which is out for re-work. The other adapter is for my 65 Dart, which I installed before reading that the front lamps only come on in Park position. Front running lights was a new idea at the time for Barracuda's, and was a marketing point.
