4 speed shifter problems need help here

In the last pics you showed us.
Look at the 1st an 2nd shift lever.

Now look at the rest of the pics we gave you.
Notice anything different ?

The shift rod needs to enter the other side of the shift lever.

Again: Can't state this enough. Make sure the trans is in neutral !

So what year/car are these off of ?
Original or aftermarket ?
