Barracuda body panel fitment

Hey guys.. I'm in the process off working on my 64 barracuda and when I purchased the car I always noticed the drivers door seemed to have a wider gap at the top rear of the door..The car was originally black but somewhere in its lifetime it was pulled completely apart and painted gold..so I finished the drivers side floor first then I started to replace the rusted upper quarter panel between quarter glass and Backglass.. Then I wanted to adjust the door on drivers side but noticed not to much front fender adjustment, just mainly adjust back of fender with bolt way high under fender..quarter was never hit, has the original fender never dented.. Door appears to have original black paint under gold..rockers in good shape..it took me two days in garage.. Probably 8 hours total time monkeying with it.. I have it adjusted pretty good, better than what it was.. Closed top gap a little better but not perfect..these cars typically have fitment issues or everyone's bolt in and look good and mines just different?
