MSD 6al issues - bypass ballast resistor

There are TWO red wires.

The SMALL MSD red should hook to the coil + wire

The LARGE red must be hooked to a solid 12V, like the starter relay post

The fact is, bypassing the ballast SHOULD NOT MATTER because all the small red does is to power on the MSD.
