I truly thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. It is great to have a bunch of people I can reach out to in this tough time. Please continue to pray for David Brown AKA My Hero.

You need to be strong for him ... just like he was as a father to you ... paryers sent

Was just told the surgery would only be to make him more comfortable. That it is incurable stage 4 colon cancer. We have another appointment tomorrow. So far no one will say how long he might have.

Continuing to pray for you.

I have been there. It is the hardest thing. I don't know any words that will comfort you, as there were none that would comfort me. I will pass along these words, which my sister in law sent me when my father died. She has since passed from cancer as well.

Life is eternal; and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your dad! I will be praying for you and your family as you struggle through this time in your lives.

I'm 51 and never had a colonoscopy but after reading this I'm calling my doctor TODAY!

Mopardude62. That is one of the reasons I posted this. Is to make people aware of the importantance of colon screening.

FJ5, I am praying for you, your Dad and the family. My 92 year old Dad is my hero too and was diagnosed with colon cancer 3 years ago. Dr's said he had 6 months to a year. Through God's grace and mercy, he is doing just fine. No symptoms or issues.
Keep the faith brother.

I thank you all for the prayers. Please keep them coming. I believe in the power of prayer. May God bless you all.
