Denny,
If I may add a pic.
I love how tight to the car everything is.

After spending time with Denny last sat--Hemi Denny HANDS DOWN--Steve

Hey Denny.....is it shipped yet????????

checking the checklist now....

just picked up the updated steering mount pieces and they will get installed tomorrow.

99% goes out Monday.

everything except motor brackets for the gen II. I want to make one last revision to make those brackets more HD (heavy duty) with thicker material. The Schumaker poly portion and perches (tacked per request) will ship with the K.

it's a curse, but if I find something that I think works better and update....I $hitcan the old and only send the lastest.

Cool.....looking forward to when it shows up....

What kind of steering linkage is that? I am very impressed with this set up. Might have to be placing an order soon

It is a Hemi Denny set up.....give the man a call, e is a great fellow to chat with.....

Denny, or anybody else that his his set up....ow much wheel travel does it provide?

On the Dart above, I installed a set of QA1 12" coilovers with a set of 125lb coils for show and tell at Norwalk. I set the ride height with the framerail at 6-7/8" off the pavement and placed the hub at appx 12" from the framerail (same as my silver Duster) When extended, the coil does get close to the factory stock bump stop for the lower control arm, but even with the lower bump stop in place and utilizing the upper stop to control drop, I was getting in excess of 5" of travel. I demonstrated by pushing up and down on the front with the light springs just to illustrate how straight the tires (track) stayed (bumpsteer) and the suspension travel my upper shock mount combined with the 12" coilovers allowed. Needless to say, it garnered a lot of attention!

the QA1 12" coilover shock specs say the shock has 5 3/8" of travel...and I think I can use almost all of it. The larger/longer shock should give a smoother ride as well as provide additional drop for the drag racers. At the spindle/tire...almost 5.75" -6" is achievable.

Wonder what the 9" coilover guys get for travel/stiffness? (uh-oh!)

Sounds good to me..I just need to get some other stuff worked out (body, motor) and set aside some time to talk to you about all this. I am in the process of researching some other coilover set ups. I am looking for something with a little more versatility as far as spring options and stiffness. I love driving in the canyons and want by A body to perform like a newer ride.

I bought new front and rear axles from "Control Freak Suspensions" of Orlando, Florida.

These are coil-over shock items that are intended more for handling than drag racing. The rear axle is the Ford 9". I opted for Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and a "Strange Engineering" limited-slip differential.

As mentioned above about other suppliers, the owner (Al Kamhi) is super helpful and provides excellent advice. The only post-installation change I had to make was to shorten the Panhard rod bracket on the 4-link rear axle to provide more suspension travel for the right side. Here's a link..

you're welcome...

What a great guy to deal with. I was less than satisfied when I spoke with one of the "other guys". Denny took the time to answer all of my questions. Seen to it that I understood the answers. His welder is truly an artist. Very pleased I with my decision to use his product.

It is almost going to be a shame to bury it under the car....Thanks Denny....

Does AlterKtion have their own website with the products they offer? Can someone help me out with some info.

One thing to note is that with the HDK system you can transfer it to another A Body and use a different motor because it's a bolt in system. I'm in the process of doing this now and for us old dummies it's easier to do the second time because you have a better understanding of the system and what it's meant to do
