Car Lifts

The 2 post lifts are more versatile for most repairs. If you have a 4 post lift, you will need the trolley jacks so you can do wheel and tire service and that's where you will spend most of your time with most cars. tmm

X2 I have replaced many transmissions over the years and worked on 4 poster wheel lifts and they are not much fun. Trying to pull crossmembers and other components to gain access to the trans can be a real headache. Unless you are working on larger vehicles like dually trucks a two poster is the way to go. I have never heard a story of one side of a two poster collapsing in 30 years of wrenching. I have a direct lift 9000 pound lift in my garage I bought barely used for $900. Love it
