**73 Scamp Mini Pro-Street Engine Swap**

Louis, slightly off topic from where you are in the build thread, but I would like your opinion, especially since I figure you have talked to some people about it.

Are you planning to spray the stroker with the 904 still in behind everything?

I am having a bit of a dilemna right now as to whether or not I should keep my 904 behind my 408 that will see up to a 175 hit of spray, or if I should go 727?

I am bolting on a set of 360-2 indy heads and swapping in a crower solid roller...The 904 didn't skip a beat this past year on motor with the RHS heads or on spray, but I am worried now that if I spray it on top of the power it should be making on motor that things might be a little iffy...my car is heavy too, at just under 3500lbs once the aluminum heads get installed.

What's your opinion?

Well I have heard that the 904 is not the best candidate to hold big power……but as you know there are a lot of people that talk but actually have no experience so I guess we can take it as a grain of salt….Lol I wonder what really breaks on the 904? The input shaft? Most of the abuse will be out of the hole on the T Brake I am assuming. Do you also NOS Launch it? All that will come into play.

I am more worried about my Rear end breaking and that is why the 9" is getting built now cause it will replace the 8 3/4 when it does.

As far as my trans goes…… If it does not hold up, I have a SB 727 in the corner that is already built and ready to go that I can swap in. It has all the good stuff, billet front drum, Reds, Steels, HD bands, Bolt in sprague etc and a T Brake Valve Body with low band apply. I bought that trans from Joe at Tranzact about 2 years ago or so. It is on a stand if need be. Only thing is I would need a Converter and another drive shaft.

So in my case I am going to Spray it until it goes or blows! Lol
