throttle cable on your race car

what do you guys use for a cable or rod as the acting linkage from pedal to carb. I had a really nice adjustable pedal and solid rod linkage with heim joints, but its not gonna work without some cutting and welding brackets and/or a bell crank.

trying to get the final touches done on the new race car, and make it to the track for the first time on march 1st.

Looks like I'm going back to using the stock gas pedal. how do you guys have yours run? pics would be nice to steal ideas from. I put a lokar cable on my 67 belvedere bracket car, but I can't say that I'm very happy with it. would much rather have a morse cable or rod as opposed to a cable, but every morse cable I find is way too long.
