eddy 650 or 750
More tunable and much better throttle response than an edelbrock. All I run is Holleys. Tried to work with edelbrock, but changing metering rods and springs to tune got old, only to still have a slight hesitation. Got holley 650, 3 750s, and an 850. I have a 650 on one of my 340s and a 750 on the other. 650 DP works great on my mild 340. Id go 750 to give you room for future build up. JMO, Im sure you will get many.
