Lokar Kickdown adjustment questions
Ok, So I was playing with my kickdown adjustment and I confused myself.
Here is what I did.
First way I had it... Adjusted the cable with a slight gap between the lock collar and the lokar bracket at the carb. 1-2 shift was about 15mph, 2-3 shift at about 35-40mph. If I remember correctly.
Then I reread Lokar's directions and adjusted it there way. WOT, pulled cable tight and set the lock collar. Gas pedal was a lot harder to push and reach WOT compared to the first way. the 1-2 shift was now about 35-40mph and the 2-3 was about 55-60mph. It was also a super hard head jerking 1-2 shift.
The trans only has about 500 miles on it and was gone thru by a member here that is a trans mechanic. He added a shift kit and fixed a few other issues with it. So what is your guys opinions on this?
