Intake manifold won't seal - How do I check it ?

That .007" gap is consistent in several locations?? Maybe "switch" sides and see if you have the same gap in several spots on opposite side??

I checked the whole passenger side but I now I feel that I should have pushed it to the other side and checked it too.
