Had to for the proper "throw/arc" on the carb I believe.
Also the kickdown doesnt line up correct with the eddy carb. Here is a link to the thread I started a while back. Hope it helps.
Sorry for crummy pics, some show the 1481 adapter real well. Hope it makes sense. Part is only about $15
