I got these things off my car today.


Look at that nice headpipe crushed to clear the steering column.




Got rid of this leaky POS as well...


Decided to put on a set of tti headers I have sitting. Not a fan of chrome, but, better than those 340 manifolds. Maybe now this 508 cammed 340 won't lay over like a dead dog at 5400 anymore.
 
Not sure. Might sell them. Probably a bazzilion dollars like some guys try to get for them. :)
 
Theres a pair of 73 340 manifolds on ebay with a BIN of almost $700 lol
 
I like it when stuff is removed on Sunday and gone by Tuesday!

Car sounds kind of nasty uncorked. LOL

Got the headers on and hooked back up to my existing "blowmaster" muffled system.

Just on the trailer, it responds much different to throttle. Much snappier.

Now to get some real mufflers and a system out to the bumper and it will be done from that aspect.
 
Ouch! That just sucks. Should wake her up a bit.

I still need to change out the system on my Dart. Some one put some jacked up down pipes on it. Welded tubes on to tubes necked down like putting baffles in.

ohhhhh fustercluck--LMAO-Can u imagine what the sound bytes would sound like if we would record stuff when we are working on our cars--That would be a sticky--Steve
 
Got the car out for a drive today. What a difference. Tons more torque everywhere. The converter barely went 2200 before, now it flashes to about 2800.

It pulled pretty decent to ~6300 as well. Nothing else was changed except headers.

The mufflers were tolerable before, now they suck. Got that flowmaster drone now.
