A cam like your current Crane would have been the "cat's a$$" 30/40 yrs ago on a hot street small block with 3.55/3.91 gears. Quick ramp modern grinds will make more power for sure.....and today's roller options, while not cost effective on some builds, are very good.

Being how I grew up, car wise, in the 70's, I still have a little soft spot for cams of that nature. Two positive's are that the slower ramp design is pretty easy on the valvetrain/springs, and the 114lsa will give a fairly wide torque curve along with a "decent" idle for a 238* cam.

Just thinking out loud :D. What rocker arms are you planning on using?
