Wheel studs
The wheel stud rule is for any car. The nut must have at least the amount of thread engaged in the hex area of the stud as the diameter of the stud. For example, if you have a 1/2" diameter stud, there must be 1/2" stud length inside the hexed area of the wheel nut. The reason we say the hex area is because some mags have the shouldered wheel nuts. Some people seem to think that the "shank" area of that type of nut counts as engagement......it doesn't. Hope that makes it simple enough for the future. I always recommend buying a current rule book from NHRA if you're heading to the track.
