We moved the 9" rear in my '72 Scamp rearward 1" so I would not have to trim the leading edge of the wheelwell opening. Here's how: There is an axle locating pin hole in the rearend spring seat. Drill a same size hole exactly 1" forward of the existing hole. No hack job here, do it right. Next: do the same thing to the shackle plate. Same deal here, do this correctly. You may have to extend emergency brake cables. Check driveshaft, may be too short, mine wasn't. This is done all the time in Stock elaminator drag racing. Easy,peasy. Good luck
