Re-fueling issue

The vent system is not the cause. There is no way that the 1/4" vent could possibly keep up with airflow going out of the tank as fuel goes in. I think BadSport has it down. Here in Idaho, we are not troubled with uncaring attendants, or the booted evap pump systems (yet.)

I fill at about 3 "favorite" stations, and click to to full tilt until I judge the tank maybe 1/2 full, then back down to the first or second "click." I have very little trouble. There are a couple of stations that I specifically avoid.

You should see how the filler meanders into the tank of my 95 Olds Cutlass. It rarely gives trouble, and is a tiny thing many feet long and goes into the side of the tank, which is surely below fuel level when full. Hell, it never "pukes" unless you are trying to "push" it to the "last click"

The point I'm trying to make, here, is it seems to me this 95 if anything should be at a much lesser advantage to spillage

Look at the size of the second hose. It's about 5/8, the size of heater hose. You can see that the "main" tube is not much larger, and certainly much smaller than the ones in our A bodies
