The glue really helped to firm up the problem area and you can slightly notice the foam was separating and causing a bulge near the left post if you look at it head on but side profile has been restored to look original.
I made sure to wipe off all contaminants really good and then applied B7 interior paint and a shiny new chrome strip. :D
