Narrow rear end.

On my 67 barracuda I am going with a 4 link suspension, and mini tubing the car for tire room.
So the mini tub will be two inch, should I shorten the rear end the same? Two inches on either side. Also since I presently don,t have a rear end, which one do you recommend. Thanks for input.
