383 cam decision
Just bought 75 Duster here is what i'm working with,stock width 8.75 moser axles and spool 4:56 mt 28-9-15 cal tracs ptc trans man valve body grinner brake all msd ign pro billet dist 6al2/2step now the bad 71 383 .030 2315 speed pro slugs 906's gasket match mild porting on intake's only 509 purple shaft m1 intake 830hp holley 1.75 b body under chassis headers I bought car with a spun rod actually 2 spun rods previous owner said car ran 7.70 1/8 . My question is is there a better or newer grind camshaft that might work with this low compression combo 9.25 tops I'm going to run .020 steel shim gaskets to get all I can with valve clearance being the determining factor.I have a 440 in the works but am going to have to make this work for now with my budget .I have already ditched under chassis for hooker 2" super comp fenderwells any suggestions would be appreciated.
