440 EZ-325 CNC Questions

You have used the EZ-325 heads before?

No, I have the regular port Indy EZ's that Dave stage 2 ported along with the intake in my 493" street strip motor. It makes 720 hp and just about as much torque at 5500 rpm with a little 600 lift hydraulic roller on a wide lobe centerline and relatively short duration.

All while running a old sckool mechanical six pack that gets 12 mpg on the freeway at 70 mph, and 9 around town. I love these heads, and the exhaust is right in the stock location. Heck, I painted them hemi orange and run stock valve covers and hardly anyone even notices the are not stockers...except Mopar purists!

I'm pretty sure that mileage is all about top change for the better with Passon's new 5 speed that showed up last Tuesday evening. I' figuring it should add at least 2 -3 mpg on the highway with nearly a 900 rpm drop at 70

I also am thinking of going from a 6AL-2 to a Programmable 6AL-2, so I can retard some timing in 5th gear and have start retard. I like the idea of programming the ignition curve on a laptop, but my set-up is petty dialed in tight now. I run 22 initial 36 total. I do have an ignition cutout switch, so I can spin the motor before lighting the ignition when its hot out.
