My trip to the track...
Some where I read that the MPH from the 1/8 to the 1/4 mile should increase 25%. So if we take 81 MPH in the 1/8 times 1.25 we get 101.25 MPH in the 1/4 mile. I seem to remember a conversion factor for 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile ETs of 1.57 which would result in the 8.53 from the 1/8 mile generating a 13.39 1/4 ET
What we got versus theory
8.53 8.53
81.04 81.04
13.44 13.39
98.24 101.25 MPH
If I believe the 1/8 mile times/MPH then the 1/4 mile number don't really seem that far off.
