Hi, i have a 72 Plymouth Duster. I'm working on my NSS harness now. It is on an auto trans. My harness is good from the transmission up to the 3 prong connector that plugs into the bulk head, but i can not find the plug to plug the NSS harness into. Any ideas or anyone have a 72 that could tell me where its normally at or where to look. It would help tons.
Any suggestions
Thank you.

The brown wire with the yellow tracer plugs into the bottom right terminal on the starter relay.....

That one is there and plugged in. There is also a 3 prong plug that comes from the transmission along with the wire to the starter relay, that is plugged into the NSS. I can't find where to plug that 3 prong plug into. Im assuming its mainly for my back up lights because they are not working. But the NSS is working because it will only start in park or neutral and i just replaced the NSS. Im trying to get my lights working. Any ideas on the plug?
Thank you for the quick reply though!!!

I don't have a 3 prong plug. Here's where my other 2 wires plug in.....

The black wire with white tracer plugs into the top left of the headlight harness. The solid black wire goes in the bottom left of the headlight harness.

My 72 is an early build August 71, and does not have a seat belt warning light in the dash. Maybe that could be the difference

Is your car an original Auto or Manual??

I just hooked up my nss the other day and the plug for a manual car is different and you have to splice the 3 prong plug that comes off the tranny into the 2 wire harness under the car. My reverse lights had not worked for 25 years and with splicing the wires in they now both work. Maybe crawl under the car and take a pic of the NSS on the drivers side of the tranny.

I am having the same issues. I have a different than stock wiring harness and I am trying to wire my back up lights. There are three wires coming off the NSS. One is brown with yellow, the other is black with a white stripe and finally the last one is all black. The brown with yellow goes to the starter relay and I can not figure out what to do with the other two wires.

My reverse light wiring, original 3 speed slant six 71 duster, was above the torsion bar on the drivers side in a clamp that was attached to the floor board. Since mine was originally a manual it was a 2 wire set up instead of the 3 wire for the automatic cars.

If you want pics let me know.

Mine is an original auto tranny. if i can find anything out i will end up trying to splice them in somewhere to get them working.

Mine is the original 904 transmission. It does not have a seat belt warning light. It has the wire to the starter solenoid, already hooked up. Then a 3 prong plug in and everything ive seen says it plugs into the bulk head, But i just can not find any 3 prong plugs on the bulk head. I will look again tonight and ill look at my head light harness and see if there are open spots to hook up like 6pk2goDemon.

Last night when i got home i pulled my NSS harness to get a better look. I found that the 3 prong plug used to be the whole thing. Someone has already cut the brown with yellow tracer wire and ran that to the starter relay. The other 2 wires are purple and white? any ideas where i can splice these to for my lights to work. only temporary until i swap motors and replace all wiring. i will load up a couple pictures as soon as i can.
