How to drive the stripe...NOT!

Had to share this. Last week I said that I never get perfect lights in competition, only in practice.....well, this week I did. Second round on Father's Day, I was up against Holden English (if you race in the mid west you probably know this kid)...very accomplished racer at such a young age. Anyway, I knew I would have to hit the tree harder than my normal comfort zone of 0.02x. Well, I hit the tree alright...triple zip...and apparently I was WAY too late on hitting the brake at the stripe, LOL. I scrubbed 1.5 MPH and about 0.01...but I normally can scrub 0.02 doing this (done it MANY times in the past) I need to have someone get some video of my car at the stripe on the brake, because I might be tripping the finish line beam with the nose of the car when I'm hard on the brake...because I don't think I took 0.047stripe like the ticket says. I thought I had about 0.01 stripe.......Oh well, next thing on my list of things to make for the car might be a stripe taker.

Does anyone else use a stripe taker on their A body?
